FS#8751 - Link display brightness to time of day - save battery life!

Screen brightness really effects battery life. Alot of us need brighter screens during the day due to increased sunlight. However, at night, I can comfortably run my player (Sansa E280) at the lowest or second lowest brightness setting, and read everything easily.

I think the development of a “Brightness Timer” would be a good step in better battery life. I would suggest that the user could set up what time the bright mode would come on, and then what time the dimmer mode could come on.

For simplicity’s sake, however, I’d be happy if these times were preprogrammed. For example, the brighter ‘daytime mode’ would start automatically at 8, 9 or 10 am, and then the dimmer ‘night time mode’ would start automatically at 7, 8, or 9pm.

Please consider this, and thank you for all your great applications!
