FS#8753 - Plugging in headphones always unpauses--
If you have “Pause on Headphones” turned on and then pause a track manually, unplug the headphones, and plug them back in, the player starts playing the song again. It seems to me that if the song was manually paused then it should have to be manually unpaused.

Just my 2 cents but I actually like it like this.
I thought of that. It’s handy if you have it paused and then want to start it again without pulling it out of your pocket entirely.. but I’d argue that that’s really stretching the use-case.
I could make just as good a counter-example like this (and this is what I tend to think): I *don’t* like this ‘feature’ because it means that if I pause my music and stuff it away in my pocket temporarily and then the headphone slips out (which it has a habit of doing) then to get it secured back in (so that I don’t have a flailing cable flapping about me) there is no way I can do this and keep my music at the same spot without fumbling around with the controls. No?
Thanks for starting a discussion, though :)
I agree. I like to be able to pause my music (if I could only find where I lost my ipod4g yesterday) and then resume it again by pulling on a chord especially when I am in a busy train or bus or loud street crossing and want to pay attention to my surroundings and then when I get back in something I like to have my spanish lesson or music continue by plugging the headphones back in.
this patch should fix it… this task will either be closed as not-a-bug or this patch will be commited, depending on the forum/ml discussion..
please let me know if this patch does actually work
Doesn’t work, I’m fixing, will commit evenshully.
