FS#9470 - Start screen option 'database' fails

When start screen is set to database, the following message is displayed every time the iPod is turned out: “Database is not ready”. It then goes to the main menu instead of the database list as it is supposed to do.

no repro… reopen if this still happens

have you initialized the database yet?

Yes.

confirmed on H10…

maybe the database code for the screen is called too early (database still starting)

[EDIT] strange: once this has happened, the databes continues to claim uninitialized… Once you give in (and let it initialize again) it wants to reboot, and then it works… weird

the database init code happens before the main menu is even shown, and if the db isnt ready yet when the database item is entered then it should say so…

e200 & r19363 - Splashes “Database is not ready” but goes into the database screen regardless.
