This clarifies that AMSv2 players (specifically the Clip+, Clip v2, and Fuze v2) do not automatically reboot into the original firmware upon insertion of USB. The patch also changes wording of the USB Charging section to avoid telling users that they must hold Select to prevent the player from starting a USB session.

In r27165 on Gigabeat F40, Mpegplayer crashes when playing the Elephants Dream sample video from the PluginMpegplayer page. This has also been reported in r27162 on a 2nd generation iPod Nano.

When opening the file the screen goes black and all keys become unresponsive. The battery switch must be used to leave the crash. On 2nd Gen. iPod, hard reset with Menu+Select is needed.

In current manual for Clip (20100430), it lists Play as being the button to return to the WPS if there’s a valid current playlist (Play/Pause is actually used to move upward in lists). Pixelma informed me in the forums that the correct button combination is Home + Select. This does work on my Clip v1.

I will try to make a patch to correct this, time willing.

Rockbox Utility doesn’t currently install the bootloader properly for the MR-100. It moves the existing /system/PP5020.mi4 to /system/OF.mi4 but doesn’t copy the bootloader to /system/PP5020.mi4.

In other words, after attempting to install the bootloader Rockbox (and the OF) will fail to start, complaining of a missing/invalid file. After connecting via Olympus’ bootloader USB mode and checking the contents of the /system/ folder I found only OF.mi4. Manually, saving the Rockbox bootloader to the /system/ directory as per the manual installation instructions then allows Rockbox to boot properly.

Previously there was no handling for comments, leaving the possibility for characters in the comment block to interfere with proper handling of the .cells file. Rocklife properly handles the comments with this patch. I checked by inserting the content of a .cells file into the comment block of another .cells file. Rocklife ignored the comment block properly.

The title pretty much sums it up. You also need to include rocklife in viewers.config if you want it to be registered as a viewer for .cells files. I didn’t do this yet because of ignorance in using diff with SVN.

Every instance of ff in the HTML version (but not the PDF version) is substituted by the character ff. For example: “This option shows RAM buffer size”, “The Sleep Timer powers off your player” and “It allows rapid access to the SHUfflE and REPEAT modes”. All of these appear at the end of chapter 5 (I noticed this in the e200 manual)

Just fix a typo that was reporting the pitch tag for the WPS as %sp – correct to %Sp.
