9527 RockboxPatchesUser InterfaceLow irc reader broken for ff3 2008-11-0443 Task Description

This patch fixes a CSS issue introduced with the last irc reader update which makes the live log almost unreadable in FF3 at least.

Additionally it escapes 2 minuses into −− to avoid bricking the live log if someone posts –Delimeter or similar magic in the irc channel (see http://www.rockbox.org/irc/log-20081104).

Tested and works :)

8934RockboxPatchesPluginsLowColourful flashlight/lamp2008-04-253014 Task Description

After reading the irc log shortly after the flashlight plugin was committed i noticed that some want the ability back to finetune the colour of the display. This time i’ve added a fixed point version of the hsv_to_lcd version (thanks to amiconn) and added some more predefined colours. You can “skip” forwards or backwards to the nearest predefined colour (however, it’s probably not the nicest way of doing it i guess).

I’ve also implemented another request to switch the backlight on and off (even for non colour targets) and it now uses the remote backlight too.

Controls:
Targets with a 4 button cross:
Up/Down: fine tune
Left/Right: jump to next predefined colours (including white)
Select: switch backlight on and off

Targets with scroll wheel:
Scroll left/right: fine tune
Left/right or fwd/rew: jump to next predefined colours (including white)
Select: switch backlight on and off

I’ve tried to guess the most intuitive button layout on all targets and even use the remote buttons. However i only own a small number of targets so if you think it can be done better let me know. :-)

Tested on iPod Video, Mini (sim), H300 (sim) and m:robe 100.

8915 RockboxPatchesPluginsLow Better help screen for superdom 2008-04-201 Task Description

Currently Superdom uses a menu to display the info on the help screen. Imo this is by far the worst way to do it. This patch fixes this using the same method as robotfindskitten.

Tested on target and sim.

8240 RockboxPatchesPluginsLow Button changes in jewels and flipit for iPod and e200 2007-11-2747 Task Description

Apple and Sandisk have re-invented the most popular invention mankind ever made… the wheel. They gave us binary examples and showed us how to use the wheel.
Let’s be a good student and use the wheel in 2 more plugins.

flipit.patch enables the scroll/click-wheel on all iPods and the e200 series.
jewels.patch enables the scroll-wheel on the e200 series (already done on iPods).

7504 RockboxFeature RequestsBuild environmentLow Add *.map files in rockbox.zip 2007-07-293 Task Description

Imagine the following… Someone comes to IRC or the forums and starts complaining (s)he got a data abort at 0xa4b425C8 with the most recent build. You want to know where the abort happend and contact the one whos build server was used to build this built.
Finally you catched him om IRC but a new commit has been made and the whatever.map file isn’t valid anymore. So you tell the user to upgrade the newest build again and everything starts over again.
I thinks this is a PITA for the user, the one who wants to figure out whats wrong and the build server owner.

Wouldn’t it be better, when buildzip.pl would include all map files in e.g. ./rockbox/maps to that you can tell the user “Ok, go to .rockbox/maps on your DAP and pastebin.ca whatever.map”.

Once could say that the new maps directory might confuse a lot of rockbox users but i doubt they are interested in anything that is in .rockbox as long as their themes and wpses are ok.

Firstly i wanted to make that a patch but buildzip.pl made my head hurt. So it’s only a request ;)
Hope you like it.

7373 RockboxPatchesPluginsLow Maze: Button changes for iPods 2007-06-291 Task Description

The following patch makes the all new and shiny maze plugin usable on iPods. The current layout is a pita (e.g. scroll up to move the box down).

New button layout:

Menu/Play/Rew/Fwd: Up/Down/Left/Right
Select + Play: Solve Maze
Long Select: New maze (I haven’t used short select because i want to avoid the user restarts the game by accident)
Menu + Select: Quit the plugin

Any other daps than iPod still use the old button layout as it is defined in pluginlib_actions.

Have fun :-)
