At least with the Sansa, if I try to Fast Forward a WMA track, it goes forwards, but when I let go of the button , it goes back to where it was before I FFed it.
(This is not my Cue/Review feature request).
This works fine with mp3.

I have a Sandisk - but I don’t know if it’s model specific.

I already posted that the auto database refresh doesn’t work – but now it seems to attempt to do something on startup.. but it still doesn’t work.

If I then MANUALLY do an initialize and update and reboot again manually, it ONLY shows the NEW files and not the old files. If I then reboot once again, it shows all of the files.

This is with today’s official firmware build (and before).

So, it’s more than just an automatic database update issue (and the automatic part may be fixed).

This is why I created a new ticket, to be more general. An admin may want to roll the old ticket into this new ticket…. but technically the old ticket MAY be solved, but since the automated functionality may kick off the manual functionality, it still doesn’t work.

Other people have posted similar complaints. (At least on a third party forum). It’s a pain to do this three boot thing, on the way to work!

The Text Viewer displays the Hebrew itself properly, but the display is Left Justified. As a result, the ENDs of the Hebrew lines are all lines up, and the beginning of the lines are all jagged. This makes it annoying to read!

Database auto-refresh doesn’t seem to work properly.

I’ve been using Rockbox the past few weeks and it has always been a problem.

The Database list sometimes updates after I shutdown (not hard) a couple times… It always works, if I do it manually.

The default firmware for many units (including my Sansa) allows you to hear the music while Fast Forwarding or Rewinding. Please support such a Cue/Review feature. (I have 45 minute long files, which I FF/Rew within… )

There is a somewhat related Archos feature report - but wanted to make sure that this is explicitly mentioned as a seperate features.
