12849 | Rockbox | Bugs | Codecs | Low | very long parsing time of some mp3 files | 2013-03-28 | 2 |
Task Description
Some mp3 files I’ve listened to the other day take a very long time to load or being parsed in the properties dialog. The player stopps responding for a minute or so before starting playback or displaying the file properites. After that it also takes a very long time to stopp playback or shutting down the player. The transition to the next file also takes this long time.
Here’s a link to one of the files:
http://cdn-storage.br.de/mir-live/MUJIuUOVBwQIb71S/iw11MXTPbXPS/_2rc_71S/_-QS/52vd5-ZS/120923_2205_Zuendfunk_Die-Macht-der-Bildermacher.mp3
I’m using a clip zip with the build 9add11d. timestreching enabled, but not used in this case.

Task Description
When listing to a mp3 for some time there starts a massive random noise in the background. It will continue for some time when pausing or stopping playback and will also continue when starting another track. I’ve noticed this when listening to a random list of mp3s of various sources and using speedup with 225% or 250%.
At the moment I’m using ee758c5 with my clip+.

12601 | Rockbox | Bugs | Operating System/Drivers | Low | somethings wrong with usb on clip+ | 2012-02-27 | 5 |
Task Description
With the newest release (9f48f5f) there is something wrong with the usb connection of my clip+. It looks like the modification of the main menu triggers some memory corruption when connecting to usb.
After several connects and disconnects (without securely dismouting the clip+ on windows 7 64bit) there appears some pixel garbage in the yellow line on top left in the usb connection screen. When this happens the clip+ is not necessarily mounted in a right way (sometines only the card slot appears). After disconnecting the player the main menu is shifted about a line to the top ( the second line slips into the yellow part of the display). After connecting the player again it usually freezes in usb screen and has to to shut down by pressing the power button a long time.

On my Clip+ I am using the botio theme (modified according to http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,26233.0.html). The font is changed to 11-Nimbus.fnt. The WPS displays four pixels (arranged as box) in the lower right corner (SVN r30992) I’ve attached the modified wps.

12206 | Rockbox | Bugs | Music playback | Low | channel configuration and playback speed | 2011-07-28 | |
Task Description
A few days ago the left audio channel of my sansa e280v1 died and I don’t think I can repair it. So I’ve ordered a clip+. In the meantime I’ve changed the channel configuration to mono to listen to some podcasts. I’ve configured my player to 200% playback speed, bookmark on stop and rewind 2 sec on resume (because of FS12167) and channel configuration mono. At least with r30205, but I think the problem exists for some time, when I boot the player and start playback using a bookmark the output is garbled. Sometimes it clips, sometimes there is a reverb effect (bath room). Reselecting mono or starting a new file resolves the effect. When reselecting the bookmark before reboot the effect restarts.

11696 | Rockbox | Bugs | User Interface | Low | scrollwheel not responding on e200 v1 | 2010-10-22 | 2 |
Task Description
svn = r28311 and prior
This bug seems to be related to FS#10097
1. start playing a music title 2. go into the file browser and select a directory where you can scroll up and down with the scrollwheel 3. press play to go back to the playing title 4. use the scroll wheel (volume up/down) 5. let the title finish and the player fall back to the file browser
→ The scrollwheel will not respond until a button is pressed.
This bug is very old. I can’t remember when I first noticed this behaviour.

10050 | Rockbox | Bugs | Plugins | Low | crashing pictureflow with certain podcasts on Sansa E28 ... | 2009-03-24 | 1 |
Task Description
until the r20510 there is a bug in pictureflow with certain podcasts. Take any podcast from: http://chaosradio.ccc.de/chaosradio_express-latest.rss http://www.bitsundso.de/feed/ http://www.gamesundso.de/feed/ and rebuild database and pictureflow cache, then select one of the podcast covers. Sometimes theres a data abort, sometimes the player crashes, sometimes there are weird characters on the screen sometimes only the fonts are disappearing. I think these files were produced with software on Mac OS X. I think they include some itunes specific tags with a lot of data, e.g. comments with many urls and such things. I’m using a E280v1.
