12596RockboxPatchesUser InterfaceLowClip/Clip+/Zip keymap change - power button returns to ...2012-02-221 Task Description

I know keymap changes can be a difficult topic, this one however is just a small change - which, I hope, improves usability of Clip players quite a bit.

I just swapped the behavior of two functions when browsing lists: short press on the power button returns to WPS, and pressing menu + center stops playback while in lists. Return to WPS is arguably the much more often used functionality of the two, and this change makes it easier to do that.

12478RockboxBugsThemesLowBitmaps have ugly 16 bit-like gradients - except when u...2011-12-2391 Task Description

When using an image in a theme it shows ugly gradients/dithering, as if it was only 16 bit. When the same image however is used as backdrop (%X tag, instead of ‘regular’ %xl and %xd), it looks smooth and 24 bit.

Attached image shows the issue. Top half shows what Rockbox does when the image is loaded via %xl and %xd. Bottom half shows how the image should look like (and how it does indeed look when it’s used as a %X backdrop).

Tested on a Cowon D2 simulator and on an Android device running RaaA.

12454 RockboxPatchesSettingsLow Faster line scroll speed 2011-12-1531 Task Description

Using the smallest/smoothest scroll step size of 1px, I find the fastest scroll speed of 15 to be too slow on some targets, especially those with larger screens.

This patch adds two faster values to scroll speed, it now goes to 17.

11397 RockboxBugsBootloaderLow iAudio X5 shows "shutting down" when holding power slid ...2010-06-13 Task Description

This happens with current v4 bootloader and any firmware build.

A turned off Cowon iAudio X5 displays a “shutting down” message when flicking the power slider for a short time (then turns off again), and only really powers on when holding the power slider for a second or more.

Having the X5 powering on when flicking the power slider shortly would be more convenient than having to hold it for a second, and would get rid of the erroneous “shutting down” screen.

10215 RockboxBugsThemesLow WPS track tags dont scroll in conditioal vp when proges ...2009-05-1831 Task Description

When running the WPS below you’ll notice that the ‘track info’ lines aren’t scrolling, as they should be.

To get the lines scrolling, you either have to only use one ‘track info’ field for both conditions, or you have to remove the peak meter tags.

So it seems scrolling lines in conditional viewports are somehow broken by a peak meter being present on the WPS.

This was tested on the X5 simulator, as well as on a real X5. Both running the 20956 build.
