EQ settings changed via Touchscreen WPS action setting_inc & setting_dec are not reflected in the sound output of the device even though they display having been changed in the menus. The changes are also not written to the main config file on disk so they do not "stick" after Rockbox has been rebooted.

example syntax to toggle EQ on/off (display DOES get toggled):

I'm not sure if this problem is specific to Android or if the problem applies to all targets.

I think it would be possible to beef up the information
that you get from looking at the peak meter screen. I
would suggest using a visual gradient for the meter
itself which is lighter at lower levels and darker at
higher levels. That way we would be able to sort of
simulate the traditional green, yellow, red color
schemes of peak meters. Also, it would be cool to show
the maximum level that was reached during that
particular recording session underneath the meter,
which could be measured in dBs using 0 dB as the
absolute peak. (This would also require a means to
reset the level monitor. Perhaps the play/on button?)
