Introduction

This page documents runtime tests performed by Gigabeat users. For test methodology, see BatteryRuntime. Original F Series battery is 830mAh Li-ion battery.

A little graphing

I recently did a whole battery bechmark on my Gigabeat F60 : it seems to me that power estimation is quite good, as the error is limited. Nonetehless, some tweaking is still needed, as estimation is too low at the beginning and too high at the end of ischarge cycle. • Since the data on this page is supposed to be used for calibrating battery level meters (as I understood) I changed the table so that more data is available. I used IriverRuntime as model - it might be good to agree on some typical settings - at least the same or similar quality of music files and one codec. I don't own a Gigabeat but I think these hints could be useful. MarianneArnold (14 Jan 2007)
