RockbloxA Rockbox version of the classic falling blocks game known as Tetris. (This plugin was formerly named Tetrox.) Tetris was invented in 1985 by a Russian mathemetician named Alexey Pajitnov.GameplayIn Rockblox, the player attempts to keep the grid from filling up for as long as they can. To do so, they must arrange the blocks in such a manner that they form horizontal lines across the width of the grid. The lines disappear when completed, freeing up space and scoring extra points. (It is possible to clear up to four lines at once - and the more removed at once, the better the score.) For every ten lines cleared, the "Level" (or speed) goes up by one - and the blocks fall faster. Also, the player can see the next block before it comes, and plan ahead based on that information. As seen in the key chart, the player can move the blocks (Tetrominoes) left or right as they fall (one space per button press). They can also rotate the blocks clockwise or counterclockwise, 90 degrees per button press. This of course assumes that there is not a wall or a placed Tetromino constricting such movement. If the player gets the block in place (or needs to drop it to get it in place), they may use the drop or instant-drop functions to speed up things a bit (and score a few extra points). (Note that you cannot move a block after an instant-drop; but if the block simply falls on top of another block, it is still possible to move it left or right for a split second.) At the moment, the high scores are saved, but not all targets show them. The scores are saved in /.rockbox/rocks/games/rockblox.score if you wish to view them manually. As of r20967, Rockblox will save the game state when you exit and load it when you return.KeysPlease add the keys for your player. -- GeoffStokes - 16 Oct 2006
